Job Description Summary
              Â
Provides program oversight and strategic direction for the EHS management system at one production facility (and potentially ancillary facilities). Drives technical solutions and provides leadership and direction for EHS aspects of plant operations, including engineering and maintenance projects. Oversees and drives results to meet sustainable development program goals and objectives. Oversees and supervises Team Leader Safety and Nurse at the facility. Participate in development of corporate EHS management system program and roll out implementation plans to establish an effective EHS management program at each covered facility.Job Description
- Oversees EHS activities, focused on Environmental, at Paterson manufacturing plant along with harvest operations.
- Ensure all facility staff receives appropriate EHS training
- Champion and support the EHS Pillar Team and Sustainable Development Program
- EHS Program Management
- Process Safety Management
- Ensure plant capital and R&M projects are supported from an EHS perspective-identify potential safety, environmental and sustainability impacts relative to project work.
- Participate in early management design and review process, management of change, and whenever new substances, processes, or procedures are introduced that may represent a new or previously unrecognized hazard to reduce risk potential and ensure compliance.
- Support, oversee, and mentor Team Leader Safety, as well as onsite Nurse.
- Provide leadership on employee occupational health, ergonomic issues.
- Supports the Return to Work (RTW) process.
- Manage the wastewater, potable water, air, stormwater and solid waste permits and how we are performing against them.
- Manage and report Daily utility metrics, touch points with Utility Lead with wastewater, potable water and processing water systems.
- Build, maintain and oversee Safety department budget.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or other closely related field
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience in the safety/environmental/engineering/manufacturing field
- Strong knowledge of all environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and workers compensation laws
- Good leadership and presentation skills
Physical Environment/Demands:
Equipment Operation:
Strong knowledgeable of operational practices for environmental control systems on water supply, wastewater, air pollution and solid waste. Provide expertise to plant operators to successfully manage and operate equipment to meet permit requirements. Understanding of food processing sanitation and quality control needs in manufacturing consumer food products.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in office environment, manufacturing operations and environmental control systems. Ability to represent Lamb Weston on environmental matters to outside stakeholders. Position will require ability to travel as needed to fulfill responsibilities. Annual travel may range up to 25%.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $81,620.00 - $122,430.00              Â
