Job Description Summary

               

This position reports to Tax Manager(s) within the Corporate Tax Team and will have responsibilities around corporate income tax compliance and provision at the federal, state, local and international levels. Additionally, the position will be involved with tax accounting, audits and planning in all areas of tax.

Job Description

  • Assist in the completion of the federal income tax filings for the Company’s consolidated group. Complete state and local income and franchise tax filings in the numerous jurisdictions in which the Company conducts business.
  • Prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax liabilities.
  • Prepare annual federal and state tax return extension requests.
  • Assist with ASC 740 computations for both quarterly and year-end tax provisions.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close processes for tax accounts, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with addressing IRS and State Revenue Agency notices.
  • Maintain corporate tax calendar and return log.
  • Assist with tax research and planning involving federal income tax and state income tax.
  • Assist with documentation and testing of internal controls as required by Sarbanes Oxley.

    Basic & Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, in Accounting or business related field.
    • Advanced degree, CPA or other professional designation preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in the tax field, with experience preparing federal consolidated returns and multi-state corporate tax returns and income tax provisions.
    • Public accounting experience is preferred.
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven record of good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both in-person and remotely.
    • Competency with MS Office software and electronic tax research tools (e.g. CCH, RIA, etc.)
    • Experience with SAP and CSC Corptax provision and compliance tools desired, but not required.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $63,160.00 - $94,750.00
