Job Description Summary

               

The Associate Communications Specialist will support communications across Lamb Weston, including playing a prominent role in writing for our intranet, all-team member e-newsletter, social media posts, events support and more. Candidates should possess strong writing and collaboration skills and have a basic understanding of communication planning, audience segmentation, and message development.

Job Description

• Developing and delivering communication materials using a variety of tactics (written and visual communication, printed materials, video, presentation materials, etc.) for a range of internal audiences around the world, including creating key messages and managing approvals from appropriate business partners.
• Organizing and actively managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and balancing time-sensitive priorities.
• Creating analytics reports to understand communication effectiveness.
• Understanding and effectively incorporating Lamb Weston’s brand and values into materials to help employees feel connected to the company and the way we work.
• Creating social media content and providing community management for corporate pages.
• Effectively managing business relationships, establishing and maintaining the communication team’s value with key partners.  
• Planning and executing events.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations, or a related field preferred; with at least two years of corporate or communications agency work experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and active listening skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work collaboratively with others across all job levels.
• A move-with-urgency mindset and the ability to actively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively with global partners.
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, and web-based communication tools.
• Working knowledge of analytics and reporting tools for social media and web-based communication tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated versatility and integrity, along with use of discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential topics.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $57,430.00 - $86,140.00
