Job Description Summary

               

To ensure product quality is monitored and tested in compliance with established procedures, specifications, and instructions. The purpose of the lab is to safely and accurately provide information necessary to make decisions, which produce proper and consistent quality for our customers.

Job Description

  • Perform finished product sampling duties and testing as described in the Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Reports quality related problems to the Production Supervisor, QA Lab Lead, and QA Manager, as appropriate.

  • Analyze data and trend situations.

  • Properly record out-of-grade situations.

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely documentation of test results.

  • Communicate with QA Lab Lead and Production Supervisor to ensure all specifications are controlled.

  • Must work safely at all times.

  • Must behave in a professional manner at all times and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other functions as directed by the QA Lab Lead, or QA Manager.

  • Must maintain a good attendance record.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma/GED

Language Skills

  • Must be able to communicate using a 2-way radio.

  • Must be able to read specifications and Standard Operating Procedures in English.

  • Must be able to complete Quality Assurance paperwork in the time required.

Mathematical Skills

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using a calculator.

  • Must be able to calculate mathematical averages and percentages using a calculator.

Computer Skills

  • Must know or have the ability to learn internal computer programs for the QA Lab.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 Ibs.

  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladder

  • Must be able to meet sensory demands of tasting, smelling, feeling, and seeing.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $19.82
