Job Description Summary

               

This role oversees the plant’s Learning & Development (L&D) pillar including workforce skill deficiency identification, training course development, maintenance and delivery, team member training engagement and key training performance metrics tracking. This role also manages applicable Learning & Development systems and communicates key performance metrics to stakeholders. This position will be a liaison between leadership and team members on all training-related needs and will collaborate with all Lamb Weston Pillars and team members to ensure the facility maintains a culture of continuous improvement and skill building to achieve strategic business objectives.

Job Description

  • Leads the design, planning, and implementation of skills capability programs.
  • Directs, mentors and develops the Plant Learning & Development team.
  • Utilizing adult learning and development tools, develops, administers, and facilitates team member training.
  • Performs skills gap analysis to identify workforce training gaps and needs to determine the basis for training.
  • Manages the development and sustainability of plant training materials.
  • Coaches subject matter experts in course development, ensuring alignment with instructional design principles and defined learning objectives.
  • Collaborates with shift leadership to schedule and conduct training.
  • Maintains training and participation records and ensures that all team members receive all required training and recertifications.
  • Ensures team member participation, the implementation and quality of training, and the resolution of related issues
  • Ensures instructor credibility and integrity by responding to trainee feedback and needs.
  • Ensures plant training needs are met, and training and qualification records are available to plant leadership
  • Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standards in the learning management system, including e-learning modules.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Organizational Development, Operations Management, Educational Studies, Adult Education, or related fields
  • 3-5 years in a leadership or site-level training management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably
  • Proven experience building and scaling learning plans, including on-the-job training (OJT), skill matrices, career pathing, and skill needs analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage adult learning theory, behavior-based training, and frontline engagement models.
  • Demonstrated success in aligning L&D strategies with KPIs such as workforce retention, safety performance, and audit readiness.
  • Process Quality certified preferred or other similar manufacturing certifications
  • Effective communicator, capable of briefing plant leadership, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and managing upward communication on capability risks and successes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor front-line leaders, supporting leadership development, and succession pipelines.
  • Builds and maintains strong organizational credibility; operates as a trusted advisor on capability strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change and situational leadership 
  • Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $84,070.00 - $126,100.00
