Job Description Summary
              Â
This position is responsible for safely overseeing the receipt of raw products. This position is also responsible for the sampling of raw product, coordinating the process of raw deliveries from the field or storage sheds to the plant, and general cleaning of the Raw receiving area.Job Description
Report all incidents, near hits, and any safety concerns immediately to lead/Team Leader.Â
Follow all PPE and GMP requirements.Â
Obtain and Maintain Walkie/Pallet Jack training and certification.Â
Responsible for a clean and organized work area at all times.Â
Record information on the raw product brought into the plant. Â
Assist drivers by safely guiding trucks into the proper unloading position.Â
Maintain cleanliness of All RR equipment and monitor mud pit.Â
Perform the set up and maintain operation of dry sizing equipment.Â
Maintain all paperwork on product brought into the plant.Â
Receive raw product into the bays.Â
Communicate with Peeler Operator to determine when and where trucks are to be unloaded.Â
Verify with the driver what grower product is on the truck and determine from the sample ticket what samples are to be taken. Â
Take samples as directed, using proper sampling procedures to ensure accurate samples.Â
Coordinate movement of sample bins to the WSDA area.Â
Ensure all electrical cords are properly secured and in good condition.Â
Perform daily sanitation activities to include; regular cleaning, rinsing equipment, sweeping, squeegeeing, shoveling, and moving waste bins.Â
Assist in cleaning Rock Trap (Flodin). Â
Assist in completion of CIL (Clean, inspect, lube) tasks.Â
Assist in inspecting raw product for foreign material while unloading the truck.Â
Perform Major clean activities to include; cleaning and rinsing of equipment, sweeping, squeegeeing, shoveling, and chemical use. Â
Work as a team with all other employees in the raw receiving area to ensure work progresses as smoothly as possible.Â
Communicate equipment issues with Peeler operator, lead, or team leader.  Â
Train new personnel in the position of Raw Product Receiver Unloader.Â
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic & Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Â
Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification may be required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements. Â

Skills and Experience:Â Â
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirement may vary by location). Â
Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility. Â
Ability to perform basic math functions, required. Â
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Â

Physical Environment/Demands:Â

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.  Â
Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperatureÂ
Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per work day to include:  loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells and allergies  Â
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.  Â
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.  Â
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.  Ability to operate work related equipmentÂ
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Â
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant OperationÂ
May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston productsÂ
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
